January marks Human Trafficking Awareness Month, an opportunity to shine a light on one of the most devastating and widespread issues facing our communities today. Human trafficking is a tragedy that requires urgent attention and action. At Smart Horizons, we firmly believe that everyone has a role to play in combating this crime. That’s why we strongly encourage all drivers and employees to take advantage of the FREE training provided by Truckers Against Trafficking (TAT). This vital training equips individuals with the knowledge to identify and report signs of trafficking, contributing to the collective effort to put an end to this atrocity.
On a much lighter note, we are updating our logo. Smart Horizons is a name that spans multiple industries providing training, software, and curriculum development services. School Training Solutions has always been a part of Smart Horizons, and it’s high time we acknowledged it!

Human trafficking is one of the most difficult and heartbreaking topics we address in the STS Highlights Newsletter, and it’s a subject we wish didn’t need to be discussed. Unfortunately, it is a reality that demands our attention. The bottom line is simple: drivers should take this training. If you travel, you should take this training. If you truly want to make a difference, you should take this training—no exceptions. January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month, and now is the perfect time to act. If you lead a team, make this FREE training a requirement. Our friends at Truckers Against Trafficking (TAT) are on the frontlines of this fight, working tirelessly with organizations and states to combat human trafficking.
