We Made it to the Beginning, Council Bluffs, IA

It has been another long day of travel and acclamation. We got up early to load bikes and luggage into their respective trucks for the trek from one side of the state to the other. Our destination was Council Bluffs. I would be lying if I said we weren’t nervous. It is a lot of people, everywhere. We are with a great group, and although there were some issues and some car trouble, things still went smoothly. We rolled into Council Bluffs around 5:00p.m. hitting traffic. Bicycles everywhere; people everywhere. Our nervousness really melted away. Even with this many people everything is mellow.

We walked the Expo and purchased the necessities (more RAGBRAI shirts, hats, pins, patches, etc.) and food. WOW. For dinner I enjoyed a ribeye sandwich, roasted corn, cheese & beef fries, pretzel, and pretzel dog. I’m carb-loading for tomorrows ride! So far Teresa and I are having a great time. I’ve attached some photos of today and tonight.
