STS Highlights March 2023

STS Highlights: March 2023

This year, I’ve been focused on the concept of Spring Cleaning. I’m doing it more than I ever have before at both home and work. It’’s oddly fulfilling, easily scalable, and 100% controllable within my life. It provides a simple task with a positive outcome.

Spring cleaning is not new. Cleaning, repairing, and organizing encourages a fresh start with the new season, and the concept easily transitions to a bus garage BECAUSE cleaning promotes maintenance and safety. Cleaning and disinfecting is a simple task that protects against contagions. Do your drivers clean and disinfect?

Appreciatively,
Patrick

STS Highlights February 2023

STS Highlights: February 2023

Black History Month remains a time to honor the contributions and legacy of African Americans from activists and civil rights pioneers to leaders in industry, politics, science, and culture. The month-long celebration drives conversations about diversity and inclusivity.

February is our shortest month of the year and thematically, the busiest. In addition to Black History Month, we also have Valentine’s Day, Random Acts of Kindness Month, and Canned Food Month. Please utilize the resources I’ve curated below. I plan to focus on:

  • Promoting diversity and inclusivity
  • Practicing sexual harassment awareness
  • Engaging in random acts of kindness
  • Providing a local food pantry with donated canned goods

Appreciatively,
Patrick

Celebrate Black History Month with Diversity and Inclusivity

Celebrate Black History Month

Celebrate Black History Month with Diversity & Inclusivity

Black History Month began in 1976 to honor the accomplishments of black Americans throughout history. Today, Black History Month remains a time to honor the contributions and legacy of African Americans from activists and civil rights pioneers to leaders in industry, politics, science, and culture. The month-long celebration drives conversations about diversity and inclusivity.

  • Diversity focuses on introducing a variety of perspectives, backgrounds, and differences into your office culture.
  • Inclusivity focuses on making sure all diversity is truly valued and all employees feel involved, respected, and treated fairly.

This month is the perfect time to further embrace cultural diversity, multiculturalism, tolerance, and acceptance in the workplace.

Seek diversity,
