Be safe during the upcoming heavy travel season. The winter holiday season can be very busy and exciting, but PLEASE remember to be aware of your surroundings while driving and safely share the road with pedestrians, bicyclists, motorcycles, school buses, and other automobiles.

We hope this month’s selections provide timely reminders for driving and give you some inspiration as we approach the end of the year. Please utilize them as much as possible. We look forward to an exciting new year!

Grateful,
Patrick

It's Flu Season!

It’s Flu Season!

Flu vaccines have been updated for this season. The CDC’s recommendation is to get the vaccine as soon as possible. Flu viruses are constantly changing so it’s not unusual for new ones to appear. A lot of research goes into each year’s vaccine. You should not wait for activity to be rising or high in your community to get a flu shot. The best way to reduce the risk of flu and its potentially serious complications is by getting vaccinated each year.

STS Highlights October 2022

STS Highlights: June 2022

I spent the morning diving into data in the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA) Fatality and Injury Reporting System Tool (FIRST) to see if there are any new trends in pedestrian deaths on Halloween. Based on data from 2006-2020, October 31 still marks the most deadly holiday for pedestrians. We are roughly two weeks away from Halloween, but PLEASE remember to be especially aware when driving around the holiday!

The goal with these monthly resources is always to help elevate your career, department, or organization. Please FORWARD this email to anyone who could benefit from the content.

As always, we take pride in helping you meet your training requirements and goals.

Drive safely,
